A little bit of green

29/07/2019

Photos of a very enjoyable bush walk, and an invitation for tips on editing the colour. I don’t always find it easy to get the right balance of red, green and blue in these bush images. Thank you beforehand.

Taken with mobile phone on a lovely bushwalk. Delighted to find the silver fern’s koru, which signifies ‘new life and growth’, and the face with the cicada nymph exoskeleton as a tattoo!

Avenue of the Giants

29/10/2018

Avenue of the Giants in Northern California runs through Humboldt Redwoods State Park, which is home to the tallest trees in the world, the amazing Redwoods. It is an absolutely beautiful, quiet and peaceful place, and I feel very lucky to have been able to experience it.

Eucalyptus Trees

26/04/2017

Eucalyptus trees are my favourite because of their wonderful fragrance! Of course they also provide delicious food for the koala bear.

Eucalyptus oil has many medicinal properties, and is just a great oil to have in your house. I use a few drops with my (unfragranced) washing powder to wash my clothes and it makes them smell very fresh. A few drops on a cotton wool ball, or wipe makes your toilet smell nice and fresh as well.

How do you use eucalyptus oil or any other essential oil? Please share your tips. Thank you!

Be like the Trees

27/07/2012

On this special day my horoscope had encouraging and good advice, and I want to share it with you. It read:

“It’s lucky for the trees that they don’t have eyeballs, so they can’t discourage themselves with comparisons to the bigger, taller trees in the forest or loom superior to smaller growth. Be like the trees.”

Of course, this does not mean you have to take out your eyeballs…
